Who is responsible for your information
This website belongs to Michelle Hammond, trading as Michelle Hammond Talk Therapy & Acupuncture, The Lodge, 51A High Street, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 0DB. Questions about this notice can be sent to hello@michellehammond.co.uk.
What this site collects
The only personal information this site collects is what you choose to type into the contact form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, the topic you pick, and your message. It is emailed directly to Michelle so she can reply to you. Nothing you send is stored in a database on this website.
Anything you share about your health in the form is treated as confidential and used only to prepare for your first conversation. If you would rather not write it down, leave the message blank and talk it through on the discovery call.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry and, if you go on to book, to arrange your sessions. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
Who it is shared with
Messages are delivered by our website hosting provider’s mail service to Michelle’s inbox. They are not sold or passed to anyone else. Clinical records kept once you become a client are held separately under Michelle’s professional obligations as a registered practitioner and are not part of this website.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer them and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case they form part of your client record.
Cookies and third-party services
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to serve the files but sets no cookies.
- The map of the clinic loads from Google Maps only when you press "Show the map". Google may set cookies from that point.
- Booking links take you to Acuity Scheduling, gift vouchers to GiftUp, and the radio show to UK Health Radio. Each has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used, by emailing hello@michellehammond.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
